This project was commissioned by drag queen Miz Cracker to commemorate her outfits worn on Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 5.

We worked on the concept together and I created a series of pose “templates” to use across multiple outfits. Then I drew each outfit on top of the doll form and we included relevant accessories and quotes for each page.

The illustration is heavily inspired by midcentury comics and, of course, vintage paper dolls. I leaned into emulating print effects and learned a lot of new tricks and techniques.

This book was available for sale as official merchandise on Miz Cracker’s website.

This project was a push for new design ideas for concepts Discover credit card acquisition marketing emails. The team used AI to generate lots of concepts quickly, and one design task was to take those AI generated images and integrate them with the brand.

Proposed ideas for a redesign for Discover’s pride card. The new design needed to include the colors of the more up-to-date progressive pride flag.

For this personal project, I use the text of a popular novel-length Harry Potter fanfiction piece published online to explore book layout and cover design. They exist only as digital mock-ups now, but I am planning to eventually have them printed for my personal use.

Each book is completely laid out in Adobe InDesign, spanning 300+ pages, and formatted like a novel using the text. The covers are a nod to retro design and 70s typefaces, while trying to maintain some of the magical feeling of the source material.

This project is a logo/branding exercise for a local business in Chicago. Selected Works was a small store that sold used books and sheet music that also had a cat. I played a lot with imagery of books and cats to create a logo.

During my internship at the Design Museum of Chicago, my main project was to create a self-guided tour booklet for their upcoming exhibition, Great Ideas of Humanity. This booklet features a timeline of important figures and events on one side, and folds out to a poster on the other side.

Based off an excerpt of a novel by writer Jorge Borges, this project examines the idea of a metaphorical empire. The product is in the format of a lab notebook, documenting the rise and fall of protagonist/antihero Walter White's drug empire.
